My
Relatives Experience
Hello,
internet surfers! Do you know what happened in Kuwait during it's
invasion? If not, neither do I! But I kinda know some
experiences of my two uncles. If you would like to know, please go
ahead and read.
It was
a sunny morning in States. The CNN News was on the television.
I could see my parents worrying and talking about Kuwait’s invasion.
As I was too young, I had no idea what was going on. They said that
there was a fight going on in Kuwait. I was born in Kuwait but then
after few years we moved to States just before the invasion. I think
we were lucky!
The invasion was going on and my parents decided to go to Pakistan as my
mom wanted to visit her family. There they were, my grandma, my mom's
sisters and everyone else were worried of my two uncles and their family.
Finally, somehow we were informed that they were fine and that they were
coming to Pakistan by car.
"Well, it was terrible!" my aunt exclaimed when they were home. I
don't remember a lot but only parts of it.
It all happened like this, it was raining early in the morning and everyone
were sleeping except my aunt who got up to wake my uncle as he had to go
to work. She pulled the curtains to see how it was raining
outside and suddenly she saw several tanks. She thought that it was
the Kuwaiti tanks. After a while, my uncle left for work and their
he found out that Kuwait was invaded. My uncles had no idea what
to do and I think they stayed there for a week. Then one of my uncle
heard that the Iraqis might fire chemical warheads, so he started blocking
all the holes or spaces which might let air in his house with towels and
other stuff.
After a week or so, they decided to leave Kuwait. On their way, some
of the Iraqi soldiers stopped them and took one of my uncle's two years
daughter and passed her to every soldier because she was cute. Her
parents were so scared and worried and I think my aunt was about to faint
as she was her only daughter. They thought that the soldier might
not give their daughter back. Finally it took them nineteen days
to reach Pakistan safely.
I don't know what I would do if I was in Kuwait during the invasion.
